Apart from my sketch books I like to use materials that had had another life. Packaging materials, old course notes, canvases that someone threw for garbage (Go for a walk the days before bulky waste pick-up and one might get a canvas or four).
Anyway, more than anywhere else in my collages I use of items that should have seen the inside of a bin. Giving them a new life as art.

When is something a painting with some objects attached? And when does it become a collage?

Christmas Cards
I reality I am not a great fan of Christmas. It is loud, commericalised, shallow as many a reality star. You are supposed to be happy also when you aren’t. But tradition prescribes.
That said, I like making Christmas cards and decorations. The quieter pace and the creative elements are what attracts me.
